My first ever 6” Star Wars figures, personally gw collect Marvel Legends since the Toy Biz days until The Black Series come along. Ga terlalu excited awalnya karena Black Series lebih pricey dari Marvel Legends, but it’s a 6” DARTH VADER! What the hell man, collection or no collection it’s a must have
Buatan HASBRO, figure ini dirilis buat line Star Wars: The Black Series (TBS) tahun 2014, bagian dari phase II #02 Darth Vader ini based on Star Wars original trilogy EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) as the main antagonist, the ultimate Sith Lord, the baddest of the bad, one of the most recongnizable father figure in pop-culture history. right?
Black box dengan open window packaging dengan blue line pattern interior Death Star seperti phase II lainnya sedangkan yang phase I dengan orange line
Look at the clean matte black finish, kelihatan menacing and glorious at the same time dengan 2 parts flowing fabric. First, cape dengan metal chain di neck piece. Second, inner robe dari shoulder armor plate over torso nya sampai under the belt ke hip skirts sewn and flow perfectly
Personally dari figure Darth Vader lainnya yg gw pernah punya sebelumnya come with just a plastic cape atau even cuma basic stiff fabric cape nggak ada yang flow sebagus ini, especially gw ga pernah liat yang seniat ini buat fabric untuk inner robenya. Good job HASBRO
Tinggi 6 ¾”, Darth Vader memang seharusnya lebih tinggi dari standard 6” character lainnya
Tangan kanan dengan hand grip pose untuk hold lightsaber-nya dan tangan kiri dengan open hand pose untuk “Force push/choke” kalau di tilt ke atas dan “Join me” kalau di tilt ke bawah
Darth Vader dilengkapi dengan 2 accessories:
1. Red lightsaber yang bisa di separate hilt dan iginited blade/saber-nya. Sculpt hiltnya looks quite accurate dan cukup detail bisa di compare dengan human size lightsaber-nya yang gw punya. Ignited blade/sabernya thick plastic dengan clean red translucent color
2. Removable Helmet yang bisa di separate mask dan dome-nya revealing scarred Anakin Skywalker’s face.
Removable helmetnya is a plus and a minus side at the same time. The plus side-nya removable helmet-nya revealing Anakin Skywalker’s scarred head sculpt dengan detail yang lumayan bagus. The minus side karena dibuat untuk removable, helmetnya kelihatan awkwardly too big? the droopy sad eyes look di visor-nya doesn’t help the case
But at least the detail of Anakin’s creepy pasty white skin tone with expressionless face looks amazing menurut gw. The amount of effort put on sculpted scarred texture dan painted details-nya somewhat a redeeming quality despite it’s weird helmet. I know even most of the time obviously Darth Vader bakal di diplay dengan helmet. But, oh well
Despite it flaws, gw puas dengan figure ini. Great size and articulation.
Problemnya figure ini itu one of the rare-est and one of the most wanted earlier TBS figures along with Boba Fett & Darth Maul jadi kinda hard to find dan pricey. Bahkan waktu gw dapat figure ini price-nya udah rada mahal.. but then again, it’s 6” Darth Vader.
